English: A panoramic image of
Rauma, Finland made up from 17 photographs. It covers about 330 degrees, and the left side of the image is pointed to South. Images were taken on 19th of August 2008 from the observation deck of Rauma watertower (that's a little less than 70 metres above sea level).
In the left near the horizon can be seen the Forchem tall oil refinery, Botnia pulp mill, UPM power plant and paper mill. If looked very carefully, also the Kylmäpihlaja lighthouse can be seen as a small dot by the horizon next to the UPM power plant.
Nearer to the camera "below" the paper mill is the Äijänsuo sports centre, and to the right of it, swimming hall and the fire station's tower. "Above" them, by the sea can be seen the cranes at the dockyard. Right to the cranes by the sea is also the grain silo.
At the middle of the picture by the horizon can be seen the Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant, the 5th reactor being on the left. "Below" them is the white-coloured tower of the church of the Holy Cross. If looked carefully to the left, the old city hall tower can also be seen. The Old Rauma centre is between these two towers.
The big white building with square windows on the right is the hospital. When looking further to the right, the main road 8 (
E8) can be seen going to the horizon. The lake seen on the right is called Äyhönjärvi.
