English: An Afghan Army Counter IED (CIED) specialist is pictured during a capabilities demonstration in Afghanistan.

The Afghan National Army (ANA) Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Team, demonstrated their capabilities to both Brigadier Sanders, 20 Brigade Commander and Brigadier General Sheren Shah, the Brigade Commander of 3/215 Kandak, Afghan National Army.

The demonstration was aimed at showing the commanders their newly trained skills, after an intense training package. Only a select few warriors from the ANA are selected to train as IED operators, and not all pass the rigorous training.
