عرق '''الكانوري''' أو '''قبيلة البرنو''' (ويسمَون في [[لغة الهوسا]] "بـِري بـِري") هي مجموعة عرقية تقطن [[ولاية بورنو]]، وعاصمتها الإدارية ([[ميدوقوري]]) ويطلق عليها السكان المحليون إسم (يروا)ويقطن بعض أبناء هذه القبائل أيضا أنحاء من [[ولاية يوبي]] شمال شرق [[نيجيريا]]،ويبلغ تعدادهم حوالي أربعة ملايين ونصف المليون نسمة ، أما في دولة [[النيجر]] فيبلغ تعداد الكانوري حوالي 320,000 نسمة. ويتحدثون [[لغة الكانوري]]، التي تنتمي لعائلة اللغات النيلية الصحراوية. وهناك متحدثون بهذه اللغة في [[النيجر]] و[[الكاميرون]] و[[السودان]] و[[تشاد]].
