English: Pakistani Commodore Khan Hasham Bin Saddique is congratulated by French Rear Admiral Alain Hinden during the Combined Task Force (CTF) 150 change of command ceremony in Manama, Bahrain, Aug. 1. The ceremony marks the second time Pakistan takes the helm of CTF 150 and marks the conclusion of France's fourth time leading the coalition task force. The task force, established near the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom, conducts maritime security operations (MSO) in the Gulf of Aden, the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Maritime security operations help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment and complements the counter-terrorism and security efforts in regional nations' coastal waters. Coalition forces also conduct MSO under international maritime conventions to ensure security and safety in international waters so that commercial shipping and fishing can occur safely in the region.
