مركز أمراض الكلى والمسالك البولية بجامعة المنصورة من أول وأكبر المراكز الطبية والعلمية في الشرق الأوسط والعالم المتخصصة في علاج أمراض الكلى وجراحة المسالك البولية وجراحات نقل الكلى والمناظير.

التأسيس عدل

أنشئ المركز كوحدة ذات طابع خاص لها استقلالها الفنى والمالى والإدارى بقرار المجلس الأعلى للجامعات في 8 / 8 / 1981 وقام الرئيس مبارك بافتتاحه رسمياً في مايو/أيار 1983 وكتب انطباعه في سجل الزوار الخاص بالمركز. ويعد إنشاء هذا المركز عمل عظيم للدكتور محمد غنيم واثنين من زملائه.

وقد كانت تبرعات مواطنى محافظة الدقهلية، وكذلك القروض والمنح التي قدمتها الحكومة الهولندية عام 1979 هي النواة الأولى لإنشاء المركز. ومع مرور السنوات وتطور المركز وتميز أدائه، أصبح المركز يمثل دائرة جذب للمعونات الحكومية الأجنبية والعربية والتبرعات الشخصية.

ومنذ ذلك الحين، كانت أنشطة المركز متزايدة، سواءً في المجال الإكلينيكى أو الأكاديمى.

التصنيف العالمى للمركز عدل

يعد المركز منارة لجراحة الكلى والمسالك البولية عالمياً، حيث يُقبل عليه مئات الأطباء الأجانب سنوياً من مختلف الدول للاستفادة من خبرات العاملين بالمركز، حيث أن المركز يقدم خدمات تعليمية لا مثيل لها في أوروبا أو الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

هذا بالإضافة إلى أن الكثير من الأساتذة العاملين بالمركز يحاضرون في مختلف المؤتمرات المتعلقة بجراحة الكلى والمسالك البولية، حيث يحرص الأطباء الأجانب على حضور تلك المؤتمرات للاستفادة من علم وخبرات أطباء مركز الكلى، بل أن الكثير من المستشفيات والجامعات الأوروبية والأمريكية تطلب من الأساتذة العاملين بالمركز القدوم لهذه المستشفيات والجامعات بغرض تعليم الأطباء العاملين بها.

فيما يتعلق بإسهامات العاملين بالمركز في مجال البحث العلمى، فإنها ضخمة من حيث الكم والقيمة العلمية، حيث أن التصنيف العلمى للكثير من الأساتذة بالمركز يفوق التصنيف العلمي لبعض الحاصلين على جائزة نوبل.

ظل المركز محتفظاً بالتصنيف رقم 2 على مستوى العالم فيما يتعلق بأمراض الكلى والمسالك البولية لأعوام طويلة، ولكن في عام 2015 تمكن المركز من الوصول إلى المرتبة رقم 1 على مستوى العالم، حيث تخطى بذلك مركز سان فرانسيسكو لجراحات الكلى والمسالك البولية بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

البنية الأساسية للمركز عدل

المبنى الرئيسى عدل

مقام على مساحة 13000 متر مربع، تشغل المبانى منها 5760 متر مربع، وتمثل باقى المساحة الطرق الداخلية والمناطق المزروعة (الحدائق).

العيادات الخارجية عدل

مجهزة بستين غرفة للكشف، بكل منها جهاز بفحص بالموجات فوق الصوتية، وحجرة للمناظير، وصيدلية فرعية لصرف الأدوية المقررة للمرضى. تستقبل العيادات الخارجية يومياً آلاف مرضى الكلى والمسالك البولية وجميع الحالات الطارئة خلال جميع فترات اليوم.

جناح العمليات عدل

يتكون من خمسين غرفة جراحية مجهزة وفقاً لأحدث ما قدمته تكنولوجيا العصر، وأحدث الأجهزة الجراحية وأجهزة التخدير والتنفس الصناعى.

جناح العناية المركزة عدل

يحتوى على أربعين غرفة منفصلة، بكل غرفة سرير كهربائى متصل بأحدث أجهزة رسم القلب والضغط وأجهزة متابعة حالة المريض باستمرار.

جناح الغسيل الكلوى عدل

يحتوى على أربعين غرفة منفصلة، كل غرفة مزودة بأحدث وحدات الغسيل الكلوى التي ى تعمل بالتناوب طول اليوم.

جناح الأشعة التشخيصية عدل

مزود بأحدث أجهزة الأشعة التشخيصية والموجات الصوتية التداخلية، وتصوير الأوعية الدموية، والأشعة المقطعية بالكمبيوتر.

أقسام المعامل عدل

مزودة بأحدث الأجهزة المعملية لإجراء التحاليل الطبية في الدم والمناعة وفحص الأنسجة وأبحاث البكتيريا والفيروسات.

مبنى حيوانات التجارب عدل

يحتوى على غرف عمليات كهربائية مزودة بأحدث أجهزة الإضاءة والتصوير، وتجرى به الأبحاث التجريبية لتطوير واستنباط الأنماط العلاجية الحديثة وتخليق مواد جديدة للتشخيص والعلاج. ويعتبر هذا المبنى مكان ولادة العديد من الاكتشافات الطبية العلاجية والتشخيصية التي ساعدت على وصول المركز للمستويات العالمية فيما يتعلق بالبحث العلمى.

المبانى الجديدة عدل

تم إدخال العديد من المبانى الجديدة على المركز، هذا وتجرى حالياً خطط لتوسيع المركز وإنشاء فروع جديدة بأنحاء جمهورية مصر العربية وفرع جديد بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية يُتوقع البدء في إنشائه عام 2020.
