سفينة سان جورجو

جورج هذا هو عباره عن مصيف في مدينة طبرق - ليبيا ؛ لأن وراء تسميته بهذا الاسم وهي: أن (سان جورج) هو اسم لسفينة حربية إنجليزية شهيرة أثناء الحرب العالمية الأولى، حيث قامت بريطانيا بإهدائها إلى إيطاليا عقب انتهاء الحرب العالمية الأولى ثم بعد نشوب الحرب العالمية الثانية قامت إيطاليا كما هو معروف بالانضمام إلى حلف المحور مع ألمانيا، وقامت بمحاربة بريطانيا في سواحل طبرق بهذه السفينة التي كانت أهدتها لها بريطانيا، فما كان من الإنجليز إلا أن أرسلوا إليها طائرتين حربيتين لتدميرها، فكان تدميرها في هذا المكان الذي سمي باسمها بعد ذلك إلى الآن
